Un 21 octobre (1983), j’ai été poignardé. Un 22 octobre (2018), j’ai reçu le diagnostic d’autisme [le trouble du spectre de l’autisme affecte le traitement de la cohérence centrale et la mémoire autobiographique]. Un 3 novembre (1984), j’ai eu l’accident d’auto. La date des autres diagnostics n’a malheureusement pas été notée, ce qui n’enlève rien à leur fantôme. Un manque de sensibilité quant à la vue d’ensemble détaillée. Les traumatismes s’accumulaient sans trouver leur place dans mon histoire.
À l’œil, je dirais que le syndrome de stress post-traumatique a été diagnostiqué vers 2006 (13 octobre 2003, finalement) suite à une démarche auprès des Anciens combattants. Sans doute qu’il me faudrait retrouver ce rapport. Je sais exactement duquel il est question. Au fond, j’y pense, le traumatisme crânien [un traumatisme cranio-cérébral modéré à sévère peut altérer durablement l’intégration temporelle des souvenirs] a été diagnostiqué le jour-même, mais sa sévérité n’a été reconnue légalement que 28 ans plus tard (27 juin 2012). La science évolue… Petit travail à faire pour retracer ces dates et les noter dans mon agenda.
Il y a les traumatismes et il y a les diagnostics offrant la possibilité d’une reconstruction, d’où l’importance de noter ces dates. Des moments charnières dans mon devenir de journaliste. D’autres encrages seraient bien: la publication de mon premier livre, la création de mon blogue devenu journal, la date symbolique de fin de ma psychanalyse. Sur ces moments s’appuie mon changement de spirale.
Ce processus se représente par un exorcisme des terreurs liées à ces événements. Je prends conscience de leur présence, les apprivoise en les accueillant et m’en libère en leur trouvant une histoire. Voilà le miracle de ma psychanalyse.

On October 21st (1983), I was stabbed. On October 22nd (2018), I received the autism diagnosis [autism spectrum disorder impacts central coherence processing and autobiographical memory]. On November 3rd (1984), I had the car accident. The dates of the other diagnoses were unfortunately not recorded, which takes nothing away from their ghost. A lack of sensitivity regarding the detailed big picture. Traumas accumulated without finding their place in my story.
By eye, I would say the post-traumatic stress disorder was diagnosed around 2006 (October, 13th 2003, finally) following a process with Veterans Affairs. No doubt I would need to find this report. I know exactly which one it is. Come to think of it, the traumatic brain injury [a moderate to severe traumatic brain injury can permanently alter the temporal integration of memories] was diagnosed the same day, but its severity was only legally recognized 28 years later (June, 27th 2012). Science evolves… A little work to do to trace these dates back and write them in my planner.
There are traumas and there are diagnoses offering the possibility of reconstruction, hence the importance of noting these dates. Pivotal moments in my becoming of a journalist. Other anchors would be good: the publication of my first book, the creation of my blog turned newspaper, the symbolic end date of my psychoanalysis. Upon these moments rests my change of spiral.
This process is represented by an exorcism of the terrors linked to these events. I become aware of their presence, tame them by welcoming them, and free myself from them by finding them a story. Here is the miracle of my psychoanalysis.
