Je m’inquiétais de l’intégration des armées, c’est vrai. Dans mon analyse historique, je voyais ce processus hitlérien. Ainsi, l’Allemagne nazie devenait l’armée la plus puissante du monde. Hypnotisé, j’ai assurément partagé cette stratégie. Il suffisait d’une pression extérieure pour obliger la Russie à faire le pas. À l’inverse, l’intégration des armées peut se faire dans une stratégie de dissuasion. Par exemple, un nombre significatif de pays européens partagent leurs ressources militaires de manière coordonnée. C’est certainement un mur psychologique et militaire. Ainsi, vouloir envahir l’Europe devient pratiquement impossible. La vraie liberté. Ici, l’instauration d’une centralisation militaire européenne est fondamentale. En plus de l’aspect protecteur et des emplois créés, il y a la fierté de défendre son territoire et ses occupants. Ce n’est pas banal.

Nous y voici. Un départ pour Édimbourg.

Je quitte mon hébergement après mon petit-déjeuner pour me diriger vers la plate-forme 9 3/4. Cette fois-ci, la 4 m’est désignée. Un peu compliqué malgré ma visite pour repérer les lieux. La minime incompréhension de la veille prend des proportions désarmantes. D’un souffle, on m’indique le côté. Plus loin, je me risque à m’informer. L’autre bâtiment… Heureusement, j’ai mon avance habituelle.

Une autre incompréhension se trouve dans mon billet; il y en a deux, bien que le trajet devait être direct. Avec inquiétude, j’ai fini par trouver que je n’avais pas à changer de train. Néanmoins, je perdais mon siège après une heure. Voilà pourquoi le deuxième billet! Ça m’a paru bizarre, mais pour celui qui l’a pris, c’était moi le bizarre. J’aurais dû savoir.

En Enfer La grosse surprise, je suppose, a été que je ne prenais la place de personne. Les démons de mauvaise fait me laissaient la place. Hypnotisé, j’avais apparemment prévu avoir ces positions pour ma descente. La surprise est ailleurs. À part ces ajustements, chacun et chacune gardait sa place malgré mon arrivée et celle de mon comité. On venait se superposer par-dessus la structure existante. L’indépendance de chaque structure restait intacte. En somme, le seul changement impliqué fut l’adoption d’un code d’éthique.

Chaque structure a sa réalité et le code s’applique selon la réalité de chacune. Le code est adaptable. Je suggère de planter une rose à un endroit; ailleurs, on comprendra qu’une tulipe correspond.

Je vois le rôle du Roi Charles III un peu de la même façon au Royaume-Uni. À Londres, une telle chose est bonne. À Édimbourg, ceci correspond. À Dublin, c’est une toute autre chose qui permet la même harmonisation.

I was worried about the integration of the armies, it is true. In my historical analysis, I saw this Hitlerian process. Thus, Nazi Germany became the most powerful army in the world. Here we are. A departure for Edinburgh.

I leave my accommodation after breakfast to head toward platform 9 3/4. This time, 4 is designated to me. A bit complicated despite my visit to scout out the location.
