Chronique de l’ombre: L’enfant en toi

Le travail forcé des enfants [Selon le rapport de l’Organisation internationale du Travail de 2020, 160 millions d’enfants sont astreints au travail des enfants dans le monde] se compare au mien. Il découle d’une négation d’une réalité et cela engendre des conséquences presque à l’infini.

D’autre part, on attribue volontiers le négationnisme au mouvement niant l’Holocauste.

Pour ma situation personnelle, j’ai souvent utilisé dans mes chroniques le mot négation. Encore il y a quelques jours, j’affirmais qu’il y avait des limites à nier mes handicaps et à le faire passer pour de la maladie mentale afin de justifier le retrait de mon enfant et de mes droits parentaux. Franchement inhumain et, selon moi, très criminel.

Je ne compare pas ces drames. Voyez plutôt une tentative de nommer l’essence. Ce pattern de la négation a plusieurs formes allant de banalités à des horreurs extrêmes.

Ailleurs, je recadrais la définition historique de la culture pour démontrer que celles des Autochtones avaient été niées. Plus récemment dans l’histoire de l’humanité, il y avait l’esclavage des Noirs ou l’enlèvement des droits humains aux Premières Nations pour éventuellement briser ces peuples avec le retrait des enfants dans les pensionnats [La Commission de vérité et réconciliation du Canada, dans son rapport de 2015, a qualifié le système des pensionnats pour Autochtones de génocide culturel].

En situation de guerre, il est possible d’utiliser ce réflexe humain et de l’instrumentaliser pour des objectifs bien précis. Disons que l’Allemand d’avant-guerre, des années 30, souffre sans en comprendre la raison. Un empêchement de vivre s’explique par un manque d’argent. Or, justement, il y a le préjugé du Juif et de l’argent disponibles dans l’inconscient collectif. Hitler, au courant de tout ce qui se passe dans l’État, confirme que ce sont les Juifs qui ont l’argent et qui ruinent le pays. Les fils se touchent, comme on dit.

Est-ce clairement illustré? Une souffrance incomprise qu’on cherche naturellement à refouler pour trouver une voie de sortie le plus rapidement possible. Quelqu’un arrive avec la solution toute faite, le préjugé, et le tour est joué. Un peuple zombie. En tout cas, il s’agit d’une fondation probable selon moi. Ensuite, vient la terreur des autres qui n’ont pas adhéré au préjugé.

Le refoulement et la fuite sont intimement liés.

Je me réfère à mon enfermement à presque toutes mes chroniques. Je ne cache nullement mon côté enfant dont le plus visible est justement l’expression sans filtre de mes émotions [Une étude de Mazefsky et al. publiée en 2013 sur la dérégulation émotionnelle souligne que les réactions émotionnelles intenses et non filtrées font partie intégrante du fonctionnement atypique de l’autisme]. Un attribut de l’autisme. Je reste un enfant dans l’expression de ces émotions, bien que j’aie une grande sagesse ou compréhension de celles-ci. C’est là, dans cette négation, que je reconnais la situation des enfants en la mienne. J’écris gratuitement et lorsque je ne le fais pas, j’en ai des conséquences.

Forced child labor [According to a 2020 report by the International Labour Organization, 160 million children are subjected to child labor globally] can be compared to mine. It stems from the denial of reality, and this generates almost infinite consequences.

On the other hand, denialism is readily attributed to the movement denying the Holocaust.

Regarding my personal situation, I have often used the word denial in my chronicles. Just a few days ago, I asserted that there were limits to denying my disabilities and passing them off as mental illness to justify the removal of my child and my parental rights. Frankly inhuman and, in my opinion, highly criminal.

I am not comparing these tragedies. See it rather as an attempt to name their essence. This pattern of denial takes several forms, ranging from trivialities to extreme horrors.

Elsewhere, I reframed the historical definition of culture to demonstrate that Indigenous cultures had been denied. More recently in human history, there was Black slavery or the stripping of human rights from First Nations to eventually break these peoples by removing children and placing them in residential schools [The Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada, in its 2015 report, concluded that the residential school system amounted to cultural genocide].

Is this clearly illustrated? An misunderstood suffering that one naturally seeks to repress in order to find an exit route as quickly as possible. Someone arrives with a ready-made solution, the prejudice, and the trick is done. A zombie people. At any rate, it is a likely foundation in my opinion. Then comes the terror of the others who did not adhere to the prejudice.

Repression and flight are intimately linked.

I refer to my confinement in almost all my chronicles. I do not hide my child side at all, the most visible part of which is precisely the unfiltered expression of my emotions [A 2013 study by Mazefsky et al. on emotional dysregulation emphasizes that intense, unfiltered emotional reactions are an integral part of the atypical functioning of autism]. An attribute of autism. I remain a child in the expression of these emotions, although I possess a great wisdom or understanding of them. It is there, in this denial, that I recognize the situation of the children in my own. I write for free and when I do not, I suffer consequences.
