Chronique de l’ombre : Remonter la rivière

De ma grand-mère, j’ai des origines espagnoles. Voilà pourquoi je disais que ce bout de voyage était plus personnel. En quelque sorte, je remonte la rivière.

J’ignore complètement ce que je viens chercher ou même si je dois faire quelque chose en particulier. Peut-être que baigner dans l’ambiance de Madrid suffit. Pour l’instant, je suis dans une sorte de choc incompréhensible.

J’ai trouvé un petit restaurant typique non loin et j’y ai pris mon premier repas. Je me sentais chez moi. La taille de l’endroit, le service, l’acceptation de mon étrangeté, la nourriture: tout m’a plu.

Je me suis endormi tôt et j’ai dormi longtemps, me semble-t-il. Malgré tout, même après le café tardif du matin, je suis retourné au lit. Le temps est éternel, bien que je sache partir bientôt. Quand je vous parle d’un choc incompréhensible, c’est dans ce constat que je le vois.

En tout cas, de mon lit, je vois ces publications et pense à la reconstruction qui se fait dans l’ombre. Si une guerre se planifie, sachez que la paix se prépare tout autant.

Dans la chronique Le numéro de la bête, je parlais de l’immigration et du tourisme. Le tourisme, bien encadré, sera un pilier des nouvelles économies. Chaque peuple voudra faire connaître sa culture et nous invitera à des rencontres humaines plus profondes. Délaisser un peu notre culture d’origine pour aller s’imprégner d’une autre le temps d’une aventure.

From my grandmother, I have Spanish origins. That is why I was saying that this part of the trip was more personal. In a way, I am going upstream.

I completely ignore what I am looking for or even if I have to do anything in particular. Perhaps immersing myself in the atmosphere of Madrid is enough. For now, I am in a kind of incomprehensible shock.

I found a small typical restaurant nearby and had my first meal there. I felt at home. The size of the place, the service, the acceptance of my foreignness, the food: everything pleased me.

I fell asleep early and slept for a long time, it seems to me. Despite everything, even after late morning coffee, I went back to bed. Time is eternal, although I know I will leave soon. When I speak to you of an incomprehensible shock, it is in this observation that I see it.

In any case, from my bed, I see these publications and think of the reconstruction taking place in the shadow. If a war is being planned, know that peace is being prepared just as much.
